This handcrafted soap is made with simple organic ingredients
that are good for your skin and for Mother Earth.
Ingredients in my soap include skin-loving organic oils
such as olive, palm, coconut, hemp and castor. Organic
butters -- shea (in all) and cocoa (in selected bars) -- are
also used. These organic oils and butters "super-fat" or
super-enrich the soap. They are suspended in the soap and,
when applied directly to the skin while bathing, provide
additional moisture for the skin.
To create a “soft” feeling and enrich the soap even more,
fresh goat milk from a local dairy is added.
My handcrafted goat milk organic soap contains glycerin, a
natural occurring ingredient that also adds moisture to the
skin. It can retain more moisture than other soap.
Many essential oils and a few fragrance oils make this handcrafted soap
wonderfully scented. With the essential oils, aromatherapy and skin
conditioning are added benefits.
Some of the soap may contain ground organic coffee, organic oatmeal, or
organic herbs or spices for light and gentle exfoliation.
For an artistic flair, I have used a natural soap colorant to create
designs. This colorant is composed of sunflower oil and may contain
indigo root, ratanjot root, annatto or oxides. As you are browsing
through the soap page you will see the colorful, swirled soap.
To help reduce waste and be more environmentally friendly, I have used “seed
paper” to wrap some of the goat milk organic soaps. This paper can be
planted and produces different types of flowers.
